WHEREAS, by letter dated 21st August, 1946, (Secretariat 3401/450) under the hand of the Hon. the Colonial Secretary, His Excellency the Governor, appointed a Board of Arbitration to adjudicate on the matters in dispute between the managements and the employees of the Star Ferry Company and the Hong Kong and Yaumati Ferry Company,

NOW WE, the said Board, having heard all parties to the dispute and having duly considered their statements to us, do hereby make this our award of and concerning the matters so referred to us as aforesaid in

manner following, that is to say:
